Mangaluru, Oct 21: The district hospital, Wenlock in city has got a new Resident medical officer (RMO). Dr Julian Saldanha has assumed charge of the post on October 16. Dr Julian is a well known senior specialist. His new role will augment the district hospital administration to make it a better hospital.

Dr Saldanha was appointed to service in the Dept of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka in 1991, as an Assistant Surgeon. He earned his MD in internal medicine from Fr Muller's Hospital Mangaluru in 1997 and initially served in Bhatkal before being promoted and posted at Government District Wenlock hospital Mangaluru as Senior Specialist in charge of dept of medicine.

Dr. Julian Saldanha, is active in the medical and social scene of the city. He served successfully as Secretary Association of Physicans of India, DK branch for two terms, Member of IMA - Indian Medical Association, Rachana, Mens sodality, Member of Dakshina Kannada cricket association and so on.
