Bengaluru: Cabinet resuffle to take centrestage again

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Oct 22: Karnataka chief minister (CM), Siddaramaiah, and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, Dr G Parameshwar, will be visiting Delhi on Sunday October 25. Both the leaders, who will be leaving the city on Sunday evening, are scheduled to meet All India Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, vice president, Rahul Gandhi, state Congress affairs in-charge, Digvijay Singh, and other important party leaders on Monday.

It is learnt that the leaders will be discussing the issue of expansion of the state ministry. Desirability of cabinet reshuffle, and also the issue whether such a move can have an impact on zilla and taluk panchayat elections which are round the corner, will also be thrashed out during these discussions, sources said. Once these discussions come to an end, both the leaders together are scheduled to decide on the above issue.

In the recent past, the CM had visited Delhi to discuss the issue of ministry expansion, but that visit had not been fruitful as key leaders, Rahul Gandhi and Digvijay Singh, were away in USA.

In the meanwhile, former CM, S M Krishna, has rubbished some media reports which claimed that he had visited Delhi recently to express his unhappiness about the leadership in the state. "I never complain about others," he stated. He also pooh-poohed rumours about rift between former MP, Ramya, and minister, Ambareesh. He agreed that Ramya had visited him and had some discussions but stressed that it did not have anything to do with the alleged rift between these two leaders. He requested the media not to rake up unnecessary issues and create problems.

    People,

This cabinet expansion of Siddu is a joke...he is talking about this ever since he formed cabinet in 2013...perhaps this will continue till 2018...

why undivided DK needs 4 cabinet ministers? one or two new faces more than enough...problem is one is Moily candidate...other Gulam Nabi's candidate...third one is there because his seniority amongst legislators...fourth one because of caste equation...

Fire all 4 we don't need any of these...make Pramod and Lobomaam as new ministers...

    ...JH...
