Udupi: Two youths drown at Kodi Bengre beach

Udupi, Oct 23: Two persons have drowned at Kodi Bengre under Malpe police limits here on Thursday October 22.

It is learnt that Pramod (20), Praveen (23) and two others had gone to the Kodi Bengre beach after participating in Ayudha Puja rituals.

Among the two, Pramod who is not too adept at swimming, and while playing in the water, he was pulled away by the waves.

Praveen, said to be a good swimmer, rushed to Pramod's rescue, but he too got washed away.

Both are residents of Chitrodi and employed at Toyota firm in Udyavar.

Local swimmers, fire personnel and police arrived at the spot.

Both the bodies were found on Friday October 23 morning by the fishermen.

Parents please teach your kids life saving skills at the right age..We can not stay behind them as body guards always...P.S I HAVE TAUGHT MY KIDS ALREADY.

Youths take care. You have dream. Don't loose the dream un necessarily going wasting ! Only God save the. So many incident nowadays. Parents take care of your children . Keep strict vigil and control on them , otherwise such things happen.

Very sad incident.RIP my brother.
Can imagine the grievence of their family members.Loosing young children in this age.Now a days lot of drawning incidents by young boys.Blood is hot and boys don't think what will be their fate when they go to swim.May their soul rest in peace and hearfelt condolences for their bereaved family members.

Very sad... I don't know why people are risking their lives when the last incident at Udupi itself caused two young to leave this world on October 11 at Panjimar river (Udupi). Guys sincere request lets learn from other mistakes too , we do not have to reproduce it. RIP

very sad, young people never understand value of life, and parents efforts how they made sacrifice their life for children's.in this case government should give award of cash for the family of the friend who sacrifice his life to another friend, not for the people who inovolved in morale policing.
