Mumbai: Advocate Sudhakar elected president of Chembur Karnataka Sangha

Mumbai, Oct 26: Chembur Karnataka Sangha held elections for new office bearers recently.

Well known advocate and social worker H K Sudhakar Arate was elected unopposed president. Prabhakar B Bolar was elected vice president, Ranjan Kumar R Ameen honorary secretary, T R Shetty honorary treasurer, Devadas K Shettigar joint secretary and Sunder N Kotian joint treasurer.

Chembur Karntaka Sangha covering Kannadigas in Chembur-Thilak Nagar and Trombay was established six decades ago. It started schools five decades ago. It is providing education in Ghatla in Chembur suburbs
for about four and a half thousand students from pre primary to pre university classes.

It has become a leading institute both in academic and extra curricular activities for Karntaka based students since its inception.

Its annual cultural festival 'Sahitya Sahavasa' and 'Y G Shetty excellent teacher award 'Rastriya Kannada Ratna' have become popular.
