Dubai, Oct 29: Kannadigas in Dubai, who have always celebrated Karnataka Rajyotsava with gaiety, are preparing to celebrate the festival this year by inviting people who have served in different spheres in society and won the hearts of the people. Accordingly, they will be celebrating Rajyotsava on November 13 this year in the presence of former Prime Minister Deve Gowda and Kannada actor, producer and director Dwarakish and a host of achievers.

In the programme scheduled to be held at JSS International School auditorium, Al Barsha on Friday, November 13 at 5.30 pm onwards under the aegis of Precious Parties and Entertainment LLC Company, former Prime Minister and president of JD(S), H D Deve Gowda will be present as the chief guest. Kannada film comedian, director and producer Dwarakish, well-known journalist and Suvarna 24x7 special investigative department producer Vijayalakshmi Shibarooru and K V R Tagoor, the chairman of Suchitra films and cultural academy, Bengaluru will also be present as guests.

Mandya Ramesh, Tennis Krishna, Manjubhashini, Prashanth Neergung, Roopa Prabhakar and other well-known personalities will entertain the audience.

Vijayalakshmi will be explaining several of her experiences in her profession in order to create awareness among the people. Cultural programmes will be the centre of all attention with members of different associations and schoolchildren presenting dances. Nruthya Kala team from Bengaluru will present Karnataka's glorious dance forms.

The president and the members of Kannadigaru Dubai have urged Kannadigas to mark the date in their calendars, participate in large numbers and support the event.
