BJP leader shot dead in Jamshedpur


Ranchi, Oct 29 (IANS): A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader was shot dead at Jamshedpur in Jharkhand on Thursday, police said.

According to police, Chotu Pandit, a local BJP leader, was shot by unidentified bike-borne criminals at Mango locality in Jamshedpur. The criminals fired several bullets.

Pandit was rushed to hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.

Police said land dispute was the reason behind the murder.

An operation has been launched to nab the killers.
