Bengaluru, Oct 30: The Supreme Court (SC), which completed hearing relating to allegations made against union law and justice minister, D V Sadananda Gowda, and former state minister, D N Jeevaraj, on Thursday October 29, has reserved its judgment. Both these leaders are facing charges of violating Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) and Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike rules when constructing a building in the site allotted by BDA in the city.

Gowda and Jeevaraj, who were allotted sites that are located side by side in H S R Layout here, had combined these two sites. They had raised a building in this site. A local named Nagalaxmi Bai had approached the court, alleging that these leaders had transgressed norms in constructing the above building.

The complainant had contended that combining of two sites has been prohibited as per BDA rules, and that the site which was sanctioned for residential purpose cannot be used for construction of building meant for commercial activities. She also had said that the concerned had obtained permission for building ground floor and two floors, actually four floors were built by them on this site.
