Dammam, Aug 7: Police here arrested a man after he was found slouched over the wheel of his car at a traffic light, the daily Al-Yaum reported.
Drivers notified authorities after the man parked his car at the traffic light and simply went to sleep. Police arrived at the scene and prepared for the worst.
Unresponsive to taps on the car’s windows, they broke into the car and noted a strong smell of alcohol.
The drunken man was taken to a local hospital for a check-up and then hauled off to the police station and charged with public intoxication.
