Fr John I remember him as my parish priest in Ammembal sometime from 1979-1984. He was young and energetic at that time and brought in modernity to the parish in terms of thinking and actions. He was particularly popular among the youth and promoted sports culture in a big way during his tenure. My personal interaction was limited with Fr John as I was away from the parish for my High School and College education, but he was a big positive change compared to his predecessor.

    Immortal God, holy Lord,
Father and Protector of all You have created,
we raise our hearts to You today for those
who have passed out of this mortal life.

In Your loving mercy, Father of all,
be pleased to receive them in Your heavenly company,
and forgive the failings and faults
they may have done from human frailty.

Your only Son, Christ, our Saviour,
    suffered so cruelly that
He might deliver them from the second death.
By his merits may they share in the glory
of His victory over sin and death.

For all the faithful who have died we pray,
but in particular for those dear to us,
    parents, relatives and friends.
nor do we forget all who did good to us while on earth,
who helped us by their prayers, sacrifice and example.
We pray also for any who may have done us harm,
and stand in special need of Your forgiveness.

May the merits and prayers of our Virgin Mother,
Mary, and those of all the Angels and Saints,
speak for us and assist them now.
This we ask in Christ's name.

    Amen.

Very sad and shocked to hear the tragic accident and demise of Fr. Maxim and Fr. John. I know Fr. Maxim from his first appointment as parish priest to Borimar, St. Joseph's church. A very devoted, humble, kind and supportive priest to parishioners, especially in Shambur parish.96 When he was at Fr. Mullers as chaplain, he helped the needy and the poorest of the poor. He rendered his services in Olavinahalli and the inmates praise him very much.
Dear Fr. Maxim, God called you to be with him in paradise on All Saints day because you have lived just like a saint here on earth. Pls intercede for us from heaven above.
Praise and thank the Lord for saving Fr. Joseph Martis. We pray to God for his speedy recovery.

Fr. John Dsouza was a priest like the lamb of God. He was my spiritual director in the seminary few years back. He was known for his innocence and simplicity. He was so soft and human. We really miss such a faithful steward of the Lord.May the perpetual light shine upon both of them. May they souls rest in peace. Miss u Fathers. Let's thank God for saving our Rector.

From nowhere they came ... chose to become priests of Christ and served in his field by sacrificing secular environment to spread the good news... This tragic accident really brings sadness to our hearts. As we pray for their souls to rest in peace, we are also required to pray for all the priests so that the Lord strengthens them to remain strong in their mission and keep them safe. Because all of us love and admire our priests.

Two most wonderful individuals. Men of God and friends of the people have left us and gone to to their Heavenly abode. This piece of news is most shocking. Father Maxim is good soul - a peoples' man. I knew him very well. He was attached to Father Muller's Hospital but later on went over to Madyanthar. A GOOD FRIEND IN NEED.

This morning only I spent a good fifteen minutes with Father John at Viany Home. He complimented me on the job that I was doing and he blessed me. He even laid his over me to bless me. A good person has gone to his Heavenly Reward.

May the souls of these dearly departed friends rest in peace. This is the least that I can say of these Holy Priests.
