Krishnarajapete: Kannada Rajyotsava celebrated

Krishnarajapete, Oct 2: “Kannada language is one among the richest languages spoken by a large number of people. It has more than two thousand years of history. It is facing hardship due to increasing love of English language. We should develop love and respect to the language. We should make sure that our children learn Kannada from primary school itself', said K R Pete MLA Narayana R Gowda. He was speaking after presiding over Kannada Rajyotsava programme at Nalvadi
Krishnaraja Odeyar Taluk sports ground on behalf of taluk administration on November 1.







Taluk Magistrate, Tahsildar K Rathna said that it is easy to learn and speak Kannada. “Our love of the language should not be confined to November alone. We should nurture the love throughout the year as sincere Kannadigas and vow for the honor of the language”, he said.

Zilla panchayat education and health committee president V Manjegowda, Taluk panchayat president Bhuvaneshwari Mohan, Taluk Karave president A C Kantaraju present on the occasion presented talent awards to five children and honored them. Taluk municipal council president K Ghousekhan, Taluk panchayat committee president Mahadevagowda, Taluk panchayat executive official G Ramachandra, Taluk medical official Dr Chikkade Aravind, Zilla panchayat former member Dr S Krishnamurthi,
Circle Inspector D Yogesh, Government pre university college principal K Kalegowda, Zilla panchayat engineering sub division Assistant Executive Engineer Basavaraju, Chief official C S Basavaraju, District library authority member K R Neelakanta, state level Veerabhadra dancer Kundooru Jagadish and others were present.

Education official S T Tavaregowda welcomed. Constituency coordinator G B Ramappa proposed Vote of thanks. Education organizer H N Chandrashekar compered the programme. Cultural and dance programmes by school children were appreciated by the audience. This being the first Rajyotsava celebrations in the sports ground, people in thousands attended the programme.
