Mangaluru, Nov 5: "The murder of Madooru Isubu and Ganesh Shetty in the jail premises on the morning of Monday November 2 is a communally motivated murder" said M Kabir Ullal the president People's Union for Civil Liberties at a press meet at press club here on Thursday November 5.

Opposing police commissioner's statement on the murder as clash between two groups, he said "Jail Superintendent, Jailer and Jail staff should be booked in this case because they are custodians of accused and FIR should be filed against them. How without the knowledge jail staff, the weapons came inside the jail? It is very hard to believe that weapons were tossed up from outside the jail. These murders are custodial deaths,"

After police commissioner Murugan took charge, the murders in the city have increased. Police Commissioner Murugan should be transferred from the Mangaluru.Jail Superintendent, Jailer and staff should be booked and suspended for the murder charges. This case should be referred to the National Human Rights Commission. As per the
direction of National Human Rights Commission, these murders should be considered as the custodial deaths." He added.

Though the jail inmates are using the mobile phones there is no mobile network jammer in the jail. This case should be given to CBI inquiry and it should be investigated from all the angles."
