Kundapur: Youth ends life due to love failure

Kundapur, Nov 6: A youth has committed suicide allegedly because his dreams of getting married a girl he loved did not materialise.

Pradeep (22) from Huchkeri in Hangaluru near here is the person deceased.

Pradeep was working at a press in Manipal for the past six months. Before that he worked in Bengaluru after his two years engineering diploma. Every day he commuted to Manipal for his work. As he had night shift from November 2, he would sleep during the day at home. On Thursday November 5 also he came home as usual and slept in his room. At around 2 pm his father woke him up to take his lunch. Pradeep refused to eat and later at 3 pm he was seen locking the bedroom door from inside. As Pradeep was not ready to go to his work as usual even after 5.45 pm, his father knocked on the door. When there was no response, the father opened the window to see his son hanging by the fan.

It is said that love failure prompted Pradeep to take the extreme step. He had loved a college girl from Kodi area. But her parents had objections to the marriage. Case stands registered at Kundapur police station.

    If a girl is a cause of a boy's suicide she roams free but if vice versa suicide case then justice dept harasses the boy and his parents for money.

    Sad,sad.He was too Young to end his life.They dont thik of their parents when they decide suicide.Besides sorrows,pain from parents,they leave back a big emptiness which noone can fill it.Parents are sometimes fall sick even tend to suicide or,their life is not more worth.These things should be thought by children before deciding to end life.FIrst place talk to someone about their Problem .There is always a solution to all Problems.Afterall he thought of marrying that Girl.but he should have waited to make a platform before marriage,first a house to live,or some financial sureness,etc.which parents of Girl certainly welcome and given the consent to marry.but now Girl is also sure sad ,and all concerned.Noone gained by his suicide.all are loosers.Heartfelt sympathys to his Family .May his Soul rest in peace.

    Media exaggerates incidents only when victim is a girl. With the biased laws boys can be easily dumped by girls and no legal clauses are there to protect him . Girls have lots of NGOs when in distress but boys !? none . This calls for an egalitarian Gender neutral laws where boys can also be treated as victims . As suicide cases among men are on rise , government needs to have men rights commission at centre .

    love life is part of life not a life , youth need to understand this wha happen wen he suicide that he lost his life his parents and family,

    i just remembering my life..when the girl just broken without any guilty feeling i just broken down....nobody was there to understand me even my parents...years after years of depressed mood i decided to marry her friend. For me it was a revenge but i am very happy now because i feel got a best in the world...

    Youth need guidance for better focus in life today. These temporary failures leading to permanent loss for a family is very saddening.
    22 is not a age to think about marriage. He needs to set his career path, make some bank balance for his stability and parents care.
    Its very sad how the youth take such extreme step thinking there is nobody else apart from that "lover" who actually thinks about him, cares for him, cries for him.
    Condolences to the family members.
