M'Luru: Three assaulted on suspicion of being police informers

Mangaluru, Nov 6: In an incident which occurred at Mukka near here on Thursday November 5, a man attacked three persons, as he suspected that they had informed the police about his presence there.

The accused happens to be Tauseef. He allegedly attacked Neenadhar (40) from Punaroor, Chetan (23) from Suratkal, and Prabhat (23) from Kodikere Kulai.

All the three were working as supervisors of an under-construction building at Mukka. At that time, the railway police, who were chasing Tauseef, arrived there. Tauseef ran into the building under construction and hid himself. Thereafter, the railway police looked for him, found him, and set him free after questioning him.

After the policemen returned, Tauseef attacked the above three persons, accusing them of informing the police about his whereabouts, before fleeing.

On the basis of a complaint lodged by the victims of the attack, Suratkal police have registered a case.
