Mangaluru: Robbers assault workers of a shop in Moodbidri, steal Rs 5 lac

Mangaluru, Nov 10: The unidentified robbers snatched Rs 5 lac from two workers of a shop after attacking them with lethal weapons. The incident happened on Monday night at Pranthya in Moodbidri.

Chandrashekar (60) and Pranesh (35) are the persons injured seriously. Both of them worked for Parkar Saheb, a famous grocery shop owner of Moodbidri. 




Chandrashekar and Pranesh who have been working for years for the shop were taking cash from the shop to the owner’s house by scooter after closing the shop. The robbers who came in a car followed the scooter for some time. Then they hit the scooter from behind knocking down both of them. After that the occupants of the car attacked the duo with lethal weapons and snatched around Rs 5 lac from them.

Moodbidri police have registered a case. The injured have been rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.
