Kasargod: One dead, 10 injured in tempo accident at Manjeshwar

Kasargod, Nov 11: One person died and 10 others were injured when a tempo toppled at Kadambar Katte near Manjeshwar here on Wednesday, November 11.

Manjappa (29), a labourer from Kotagere in Dharwad is the person deceased.

The group of labourers was returning to Uppala in a tempo after finishing concreting work at Bayaru Muligadde. When the tempo reached Kadambar, the driver lost control and the tempo toppled. The concrete mixer which was in the tempo fell on Manjappa which resulted in his death.

Some of the injured have been identified as Muththu (48) from Koppala, Bheema (23) Hanumesha (23) and Umesh (35) and Shekappa (45). All the injured have been admitted to a private hospital.

Manjeshwar police have registered a case.
