Bengaluru, Nov 14: A priest who had come to perform puja at home minister Dr G Parameshwar’s new official chamber, lost his mobile phone on Friday, November 13.

The home minister who was shifting his official chamber to Room No 144 at the Vikasa Soudha had called the priest Krishnamurthy from Anjaneyaswamy temple in RT Nagar to offer a puja before he assumed office. The priest Krishnamurthy realised after performing the puja that he had lost his mobile phone while offering the mangalarathi.

The police, who faced an embarrassing situation when the news spread that the phone had been stolen from the home minister’s office right under the nose of senior police officers including the Bengaluru City Commissioner, said that no mobile theft case had been registered.

Room 144 in the Vikasa Soudha was occupied by former chief minister S M Krishna in 2004 and has been lying vacant for the last 11 years. It was supposed to be the official chamber of the chief minister.
