Mangaluru, Nov 14: 'My Country, My Life', an inspirational and educative documentary produced by St Joseph Seminary professor Fr Nelson D’Almeida, was released at St Agnes College auditorium here on Saturday November 14.

The documentary was formally released by MLA J R Lobo.

Addressing the gathering, J R Lobo appealed to everyone to draw inspiration from the short film. "It is better to ask what I have done for India, than asking what India has done for me. I urge everyone to emulate our former President the late Dr A P J Abdul Kalam."

President of the programme Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu asked each and everyone to understand and fulfil their responsibility towards the country.

Daijiworld founder Walter Nandalike, presenting a brief review of the documentary, lauded Fr Nelson D'Almeida for taking the initiative to produce such an inspiring short film and urged everyone to learn from the action of the little girl Mahima, who plays the central role. He also appreciated the girl's performance and said that the documentary emphasizes how just one individual with determination can bring about a positive change in the society.

"Through his documentary, Fr Nelson shows how each one of us has the responsibility of building a strong civic sense and keeping our environment not only neat and tidy, but also respecting our country by doing so," he said.

Fr Joseph Martis, rector of St Joseph Seminary, Sr Supriya, principal of St Agnes College, Sr Jyothi, headmistress of St Agnes Higher Primary School and Fr Nelson D’Almeida, the producer of the film were present on the dais.

All the diginitaries on the dais congratulated Fr Nelson D’Almeida on his great venture in the form of an educative movie.

Fr Nelson thanked all the actors and collaborators and the guests for their support and and good wishes.

Daijiworld 24x7 channel will telecast the documentary at 8.30 pm and 11 pm on Saturday November 14.
