India premiere of Nepalese film 'Taandro' in Kochi


Kochi, Nov 17 (IANS): Nepalese film "Taandro", inspired by the true story of survival and human endurance of a Maoist member, had its India premiere at the All Lights India International Film Festival here on Monday.

Directed by Samten Bhutia, the film narrates the gut-wrenching true story of survival, and left the audience in awe and tears.

The film, jointly produced by Black Horse Pictures and Mountain River Films, features an ensemble cast of Rambabu Gurung, Saraswati Chaudhary, Maniram Pokharel, Kamalmani Nepal, Rajan Khatiwada and Buddhiram Tamang.

It will next be screened at the 14th Dhaka International Film Festival next year.
