London, Aug 14: Keeping in tune with the age-old tradition, UK Konkans have planned to celebrate the feast of the Nativity of the BVM on September 8, 2007.
Fr Pius Pinto will join the fellow Mangaloreans at 1pm on the day in St Chad's Catholic Church, South London, SE25 6XN in offering Holy Mass. Children will have the opportunity to offer flowers to Mother Mary.
There will be the blessing of the new corn and 'novem jevonn' (vegetarian lunch) followed by light entertainment.
UK Konkans office-bearers invite all Mangaloreans to join them in celebrating this special day.
