Mangaluru: 'Insignia' national B-school fest on 'Innovate India' begins at AIMIT

Mangaluru, Nov 18: 'Insignia-2015', a national-level B-school fest organized by St Aloysius College (Autonomous) and St Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT) began on a high note at AIMIT campus in Beeri here on Wednesday November 18.

The event, held on the theme 'Innovate India: Exploring policy breakthrough innovation' was inaugurated by ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Ltd director Jaideep Ghosh.

Addressing the gathering, Ghosh said, "It is necessary to work towards the growth of the society while striving for economic growth. Students need to be trained in leadership and other skills."

He further said, "The activities during training in business should aim to elevate the society economically. There are excellent opportunities in power, infrastructure and banking sectors and in order to perform according to national and international standards, it is necessary for students to develop a positive attitude. Global investors are showing special interest in investing in India and it will provide good opportunities to the youth in future," he said.

St Aloysius College principal Fr Swebert D'Silva who presided over the programme asked the students not to have too many goals at once. "Take one step at a time and have short-term goals, this way you can achieve ultimately achieve success in life. By spreading joy among others, you too will be happy," he advised.

Rector of St Aloysius Institutions Fr Denzil Lobo and MBA chairman Fr Oswald Mascarenhaswere the chief guests of the occasion.

AIMIT dean Dr Rowena Wright welcomed, while Preetha compered the programme and staff organizer Rayan D'Souza proposed the vote of thanks.

Managemement club secretary Roy Baretto and student organizer Rohan Monis among others were present.
