Chhota Shakeel aide held in Bengaluru; was plotting to spark communal tension

Bengaluru, Nov 19 (PTI): An alleged associate of underworld don Chhota Shakeel was arrested here who police said was plotting to spark communal tension by carrying out killings of reputed persons.

Syed Niyamat, a resident of Bismillah Nagar here, was picked up by City Crime Branch yesterday based on specific inputs.

Police said they have also picked up two of his associates and are questioning them.

City Crime Branch Police said in a release here that Niyamat was in regular touch with Shakeel and, upon his instructions, had planned to create communal tension in the city by killing reputed persons.

Police said that the 28-year-old Niyamat had during interrogation told them that he had made preparations to execute his plan along with his associates.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Niyamat was wanted in at least seven cases, including of murder and dacoity, police said.

    Thanks to Modiji...
    After NDA govt formed, we could see most of Chota gang are arrested.
    Now dongis will bark, this man is arrested by Congi govt. So why I have to thank Modi.
    Answer is simple, when Dadri and Kalburgi incidents happened, dongis and laddi jeevis blamed Modi even though its state's matter.
    So something happened good here, definitely we will praise Modi Jee.

    He planned to kill and got arrested. Those who already planned and executed the plan, none get arrested. Vicky shetty, Ravi Poojary and Pumpwell trying their best efforts create communal riots and succeed also, but none of their aid got arrested. This is what happening here.

    What is the use of nabbing these criminals?
    Such people have arrangements already in place with police and politicians (whether BJP & or any other political party) for their release from such detention within a short stay in custody.
    Tell me, I was right, when he walks away after a while on bail, for lack of evidence!!!
    Chota Rajan's case also will drag on until he dies without conviction!!!
    Can't they convict him on one strong case and then go further on other cases?
    We will be aghast to see Chota Rajan walking on Mumbai streets after a year or so if does not die from natural causes, like bad health etc.
    That is our legal system for you!!!
