Mangaluru: 21-year-old dies after tempo topples on him near Karnad

Mangaluru, Nov 24: A youth died after a tempo tumbled and fell on him at Kempugudde, Manampadi near Karnad in Mulki police station limits on Tuesday, November 24.






The deceased is Fahim Shaikh (21), son of Haleangadi Indiranagar resident Bashir Saheb.

Fahim Shaikh was employed in Pinky Catering and Arrangers at Haleangady. He had gone to Kempugudde near Mulki in the morning to put up metal sheets pandal. He was standing on the backside of the tempo when the tempo got partly buried in the soft mud and about to get toppled. Fahim Shaikh got confused and jumped from the tempo, but the tempo tumbled and fell on him seriously injuring him.

Even though Fahim was rushed to Srinivasa Hospital in Mukka, he succumbed to his injuries while on the way.

Mulki police have registered a case.
