Kalaburagi, Nov 25: In a tragic accident which occurred at Kinni Sadak on national highway 218 in the district on Tuesday November 24, five persons lost their lives. Two of the victims were children.
A truck smashed into a tractor carrying labourers, causing the said accident. 14 persons suffered injuries of various degrees in this accident. All the victims and injured belong to Arakapalli Tanda in Narayanakhed taluk of Medak district, Telangana. The injured were admitted into the district hospital here and taluk hospital at Humnabad.
The families of labourers were moving to Pavalgaon in Afzalpur taluk to work in the sugarcane fields to harvest the crop. The tractor which was connected to two trailers, was hit by a truck loaded with cement bags, which was going to Humnabad. A case about the accident was registered in Kamalapura police station.
