Mangalore: Varsity All College Students' Union Assumes Charge

Mangalore, Aug 18: The oath taking ceremony of the new office-bearers of Mangalore University All College Students Union (MUACSU) was held at Town Hall on Friday August 17. 

The union of new office bearers was inaugurated by former minister B Ramanatha Rai, Fr Elias D'Souza, lecturer of St Philomena Pre University College, Puttur officiated the sworn in ceremony. 

The function was chaired by Moodbidri MLA Abhaychandra Jain while Ullal MLA U T Khadar wished all success to the new committee.

Noted entrepreneur from Abu Dhabi Leo Rodriguez, Jayarama Shetty, an industrialist, MG Hegde, founder of MIFT and former students' union leader Sunil Achar were also present on the occasion.

Krishnadas Kamat from Canara College is the new president of the union while Mohammad Kalandar, Rajath Shetty, Niyajuddin, Claudy Monteiro, Swathi Shetty and Anjali Sequeira have been selected as vice-presidents.

Deeraj Sequeira, Parvej P Shetty, Haris KM, Vasthav Gudi are elected as chief secretaries. Yatish Rao, Irfan Mohammad, Suraksha Shetty, and Sudarshan Shetty have been elected as joint secretaries.

The executive of the union consists of 15 members.
