Mangaluru, Nov 28: It has been revealed that 217 murders have taken place in the years 2014 and 2015 in the three coastal districts of Karnataka, namely, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada.

This revelation came in the form of answer from home minister Dr G Parameshwar provided to MLC Ivan D'Souza who had raised the question in the legislative council on Friday, November 27.

The home minister said that 341 persons have been arrested so far in the 217 murders taken place in the coastal districts in 2014 and 2015. 100 murders took place in 2014 for which 196 persons were arrested and 117 murders took place in 2015 for which 145 persons were arrested.

Out of these murders, 1 in 2014 and 3 in 2015 were related to underworld activities and all these 4 murders took place in Mangaluru city.
6 immoral rowdism cases have been registered in Dakshina Kannada from 2014 till date.

As per gang wars are concerned, the police department relies heavily on intelligence and warns the concerned persons after identifying them. Police have been told to increase night patrol to maintain better law and order, the minister said.

The minister also said that cooperation from public is required in controlling immoral rowdism. He said people should help to keep the anti- social elements away from society and come forward to register cases against them.

If repeat offenders are walking free on the streets such things are bound to happen. Although there are enough laws to keep them behind bars , there is no will power to do the same. D.K has become a hub of criminal/thieves/rapists/ hate mongers.

Cheddis have become jobless after Congress came to power. Modi promised jobs to crores of people but faked. When Yeddi was in power these moral police people used to get crores of rupees for moral policing. Now what they can do except indulge in communalism, rowdyism and goondaism. And this is costing them their lives...

217 (may be more, coz as some of the cases might have not reported) murders in two years.Good figure and only arrests has been made, still no punishment has been meted.Nobody can be blamed except our political pressure and prevailing law and order system.Law and order has been collapsed in the state.Anybody can do anything.Any solution to address this state of affairs in the state.

You put a shoot at sight order for criminals..none of these criminals are born with qualities of criminals society and law makes them criminals. if law and society is hard enough no criminals will be there...all these political parties are the biggest criminals now and their gang.
