Mangaluru, Nov 29: 'Benefica' music for change, a charity show organised by Black Velvet music band and Make A Difference was held at Alvares Farmhouse, Vamanjoor.

The event was formally inaugurated by lighting the lamp.

Addressing the gathering, deputy commissioner of excise, L A Manjunath said, "I congratulate Black Velvet and Make A Difference on organizing this entertainment event here. Music is divine and it has no barriers. I am very glad to see that at such a young age, these boys and girls have taken the initiative to help the underprivileged through this show. It shows their good heart. I wish they continue this good work and organize more such programmes in the coming days."

Black Velvet band entertained the gathering with electrifying music, complemented by brilliant dances by Thunder Guys crew.

Black Velvet is the brainchild of artiste Rayan D'Souza. The band members consist of Ria D'Souza and Danny J on vocals, Rayan himself on keyboard, Jill D’souza on drums Joswin Dcunha on lead-guitar and Floyd Pereira on bass.

Excise inspector Seema, Daijiworld Media marketing manager Praveen Tauro, Make A Difference city team lead Anna Crasta, organizer of the event Jill Gavin D'Souza and others were present.
