Sullia, Dec 2: Forest employees found a skeleton inside reserve forest near Subrahmanya in the taluk on Monday November 30. It is believed that this skeleton belongs to a Tirumaleshwar (23) from Argudi, and that he was murdered.

Dr Arun and Dr Bhuvaneshwari, who were part of a team of finger experts from Mangaluru who arrived at the spot after being informed about the find, conducted inquest in the presence of police officials. Skull and skeleton were found from the spot.

By the side of the spot where the skeleton was found, a rope was found hanging from a tree, which looks like having been used for hanging a person. Footwear, pieces of bones and clothes were found beneath this rope, while the skull was lying a little away.

On the basis of location and clues obtained at the spot, the locals have expressed the opinion that the skeleton could be of Tirumaleshwar, son of the late Dasappa from Argudi, who belonged to a tribal family, and both parents of whom had died due to ailments. His brother too had committed suicide a few years back.

No complaint however, was filed about Tirumaleshwar going missing. He used to frequent a neighbouring house, and was close to a woman there, it is said.
