Mangaluru, Dec 2: "White Doves, an NGO which runs homes for the destitute and is also involved in various other social works like feeding the hungry on a daily basis, building houses for the poor, educating poor students and also taking care of medical expenses of poor patients, will be presenting its 21st annual Christmas mobile show '2015 Year Old Fact in a Mobile Act' on December 4, 5 and 6," announced founder president of White Doves Corrine Rasquinha.

Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday December 2, she said, "Till date White Doves has presented over 250 shows in and around Mangaluru. This year the mobile show will have a 90-foot stage built on trailer trucks, with 125 artistes from all age groups performing. The convoy of 5 trucks, 3 buses and around 5 other vehicles will head to Hassan on December 4 to perform at the Jilla Kreedangana at 5.30 pm and on Saturday December 5, the troupe will perform at the Belur College grounds at 5.30 pm. On December 6, White Doves will perform its last show of the year at Padua School grounds, Mangaluru at 6 pm. The entry for the shows is free for all."

She further said, "White Doves is coming up with a 200-bed psychiatric destitute nursing home at Maroli. For the past 17 years the organization has been taking care of over 130 destitutes and mentally ill inmates. These inmates irrespective of caste, creed or religion are picked up from the streets and housed in the two homes here in the city.

"The NGO is grateful to the public for their support and encouragement in making this world a better place," she added.

Trustee Vitus Rasquinha and manager Allwyn Jerald Fernandes were present at the press meet.

For those of you who think there is no parking. Ample parking facility is there at the grounds. Also the road is concretised and there will be good lightening. And this year the show at Padua is at 6 pm. Seating and parking arrangement is made. Make sure you come in big numbers.

Congratulations and God Bless White Doves team.
As per my understanding most burdensome, difficult task is to take care of psychiatric patient. Even though you do good to them still you are at the receiving end, they even abuse and even hit you. (It was not done intentionally but this is their illness)
We appreciate and sincerely thank for your work.

Congratulations to the Trustees / participants of white Doves and the annual Christmas show. Its a lot of hard work i understand. But Corinne and Vitus have the capacity and the show will go on without a hitch. My best wishes to you all.

In Mangalore, Padva High School grounds may not be a good venue because of the Highway / local traffic.Parking too is a big problem. Old people find it hard to cross the road and the street lighting is not very good at that point. Nehru Maidan would probably have been a better spot / place. This is only my suggestion . Anyway you can consider it for next year.

God Bless you all. Merry Christmas and a prosperous and peaceful New Year.
