Denotification cases against Yeddy, Shivakumar - HC reserves orders

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Dec 3: The single judge bench of the state high court (HC) has reserved orders relating to applications filed by minister, D K Shivakumar, and former chief minister, B S Yeddyurappa, seeking dismissal of cases filed against them relating to alleged illegal denotification of land.

The bench, headed by Justice Anand Byareddy, which heard arguments which extended for two days, in tune with the Supreme Court's recent orders to dispose off the petition swiftly, reserved its orders.

The petitioners were represented in the HC by senior advocates, B V Acharya, Shashikiran Shetty, and Ashok Harnahalli.

When he was urban development minister, D K Shivakumar had purchased 4.2 acres of land in Benniganahalli under K R Puram revenue division. He has been accused of misusing his power and influence and getting the records transferred in his name through department officials. In their petitions in Lokayukta special court, T J Abraham and Kabbale Gowda had accused B S Yeddyurappa of illegally denotifying this land at the instance of D K Shivakumar, when the former became chief minister.

The elavation of Sadanand Gowda to Law ministry, is the first step BJP took to clear corruption charges against BJP. Today, most of the known criminal and corrupt faces of BJP not facing the real heat of the law.

Yeddy of BJP and Shivakumar of congress, are dominent political force. Yeddy's claim as not tainted is almost equal to Reddy claiming iron ore smuggling from Belakeri is not involved. People know the truth as hard evidences were there in public domain. They were not some forged dox or manufactured scripts of media.

Judiciary has its own problem. 2 Judges are caught with the bribes offered by Reddy Bro's earlier. Should it push ahead, the tainted judges too are going to spill more beans. Naturally, the game is now, you scratch my back and I will scratch yours. Hope can ignite only if a sitting judge finds enough reason and courage to take on for countries sake.
