Mangaluru, Dec 4: For the benefit of Sabarimala pilgrims and to handle added rush due to Christmas holidays, Palakkad division of Indian Railways has decided to run special trains between the city and Nagarcoil from December 20 onward.

Special train No. 06142 from Nagarcoil to Mangaluru Junction will leave Nagarcoil at 2 pm on December 20, 27, and January 3. The scheduled time of the train to reach here is 5.15 am the next morning.

Train No. 06143 will leave Mangaluru Junction at 12.50 pm on December 21, 28 and January 4 and reach Nagarcoil at 2.50 am the next day. The train will be equipped with a three tier AC coach, a two tier AC coach, and 12 sleeper coaches. It will have stops at Ernel, Kalachuri, Neyyattinakara, Thiruvananthapuram Central, Kollam Junction, Kayamkulam, Chengannur, Thirunelveli, Kottayam, Ernakulam City, Aluva, Trissur, Shornaur Juncion, Kuttipuram, Thirur, Kozhikkode, Vadagara, Talassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kahnangad and Kasargod.
