I don't think he is so cruel without the influence of 60. However, it is a good that he will get the punishment.

Though this person deserve all punishments but late Madam Rosalina will cry when they read out his punishment and plead for mercy for her hubby because for women in India “Tolerance is not taught but it’s born with her”

What kind of a reason to kill his wife whom he had promised to God to love her and be with her in good or bad times? Fernard considered considered eating pork meat his priority when Rosaline was waiting for the water to be boiled which was already on the fire? Is Rosaline a maid for him? He should have started cleaning, cutting the meat so that cooking will be done fast? Ego is the issue. Marriage means man and wife are one and there is no ego. May the Lord grant eternal peace to Rosaline and grant understanding to Fernard to admit his fault and ask forgiveness from God.

No one has the right to take others life. Was he made to kill her just for for delaying the cooking? If there was serious problem he should have divorced.

    Cynthia,
Do not blame alcohol for everything. Its one of those wonderful creations of God which is created purely to take one's living to another level of bliss.
A survey says approximately 45% of Indians consume alcohol.Does the crime rate match it? Are 45% of male and female india criminals?

It’s written in the Book of Psalms, “Wine that maketh the heart merry.” Indeed what has happened in this case is very sad. But one can’t blame only alcohol for it. Wine or liquor is meant for relaxation, celebration and enjoyment, to keep oneself happy. It is not a solution to any problem and therefore highly inadvisable to consume alcoholic drinks when one is depressed, sick or having serious problems in life. Here control and will to live without it is utmost important.

There are people well behaved and in senses even when they consume alcohol. So it is only pretex to do wrong things in the name of alcohol I guess.
