Mangaluru, Dec 13: “All the subscribers of cable television (TV) connection should install set-top boxes by this year end,” said deputy commissioner A B Ibrahim on Saturday Dec 12 in a communication.
As the cable T V connections are required to be digitalised throughout the country. The process is in the third phase with two earlier phases complete. At present the set-top box has become compulsory in cities, said the communication.
Deputy Commissioner has said that the cable operators should arrange to supply the set-top boxes and the subscribers should approach them for the same.
After the deadline is over, subscribers will not be able to watch the TV channels if they do not install set-top box.
