Mangaluru: Will file complaints, hold protest against Dr Zakir Naik's visit: Bajrang Dal

Mangaluru, Dec 16: Bajrang Dal and VHP on Wednesday December 16 expressed opposition to the proposed visit of Islamic scholar Dr Zakir Naik and said that it would file multiple complaints against the visit in different parts of the district.

Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday, Bajrang Dal Mangaluru divisional coordinator Murlikrishna Hasantadka said, "If there has to be social harmony in the district, permission should not be given to Zakir Naik's visit to Mangaluru. If permission is given, we will hold a strong protest and also go ahead with our plans to hold Hindu Samajotsava which would be addressed by VHP leader Dr Pravin Togadia.

"On January 6, Pravin Togadia will visit Mangaluru and Madikeri where he will visit the house of Kuttappa who was killed in the Tipu Jayanti clashes," he added.

"Already four complaints have been lodged against the visit of Dr Zakir Naik and more complaints will be filed in different parts of the district. We will take up this issue as a campaign," he said.

Datta Mala Abhiyana

Hasantadka also said that as many as 15,000 people from Mangaluru division, including 3,000 from Mangaluru city, will take part in the Datta Mala Abhiyana in Chikkamagaluru that began on Wednesday December 16.

"A Sankeertana Yatra will be held on December 20 from PVS circle to Sharavu Mahaganapati Temple, and on Decemeber 23 at 10 pm, we will start from Mangaladevi temple and Yadapadavu Sri Rama Bhajana Temple to Chikkamagaluru to partipate in the Datta Mala Abhiyana on December 24," he added.

Bhujanga Kulal, Bhaskar Dharmasthala and others were present.

Dear Mr.Bhandary,
There is no alternative to BD to Hindus.No hindus other than BD is coming out of home for protest against any unjtice happening from District administration or police dept.last year from our compound cows have been stolen. I know who is the culprit. Even I have complained to police. But police is not taking any action against him. Even if they take action against him, within one day he will be released from Jail.

Is Managlore city is owned by BD and VHP? It is really very shame on part of leaders of BD and VHP. You should welcome other religion leaders and should know about all religions. Political leaders spoiled the harmony of our civilized society. Political parties ruined peace in our beautiful city known for hospitality. These BD, VHP born recently matter of three and four decades. Sanathana darma existing more than five thousand years. Neither BJP, RSS , BD, VHP has contract for protecting this holy Darma. I surprise how the intelligent people of our district are trapped with various outfits like BD, VHP, RSS, KFD,SIMI, PFI etc.. May god save our district.

The burden of proof lies with the person who is making a claim. This is such a simple thing that most people fail to understand.

Eg: I make a claim that i have invisible dragon in my house that only i can see. As per your logic, you have to believe what i say or you have to prove that the invisible dragon does not exist. Obviously no sane person would believe that i have a invisible dragon in my house... but then how would you prove that invisible dragon(which only i can see) does not exist.

Zakir Naik has got extremely strong memory power. He does not propagate communal hatredness in his speeches unlike Thogadia or Muthalik.

He is doctor by profession it doesn't make him any special, so is Praveen Thogadia.

Zakir Naik has memorised abundant religious scriptures. But intellectually he is hollow inside. He does not have a straight answer for any questions. Once he is sure that the questioner understood his inability to answer the question, then he takes into mocking the question , questioner and his religion.

Let him come to Mangalore, give his speech and go. We tolerant, educated and mature Hindus will consider it as a Johny Lever show in Mangalore!

Well Dr. Zakir Naik got inspired from the above personality.

You know what, they have shown the world what true Islam is and what Qur'an and Hadith says in the language of English which is the main communication language of the world.

Moreover, neither of them became popular coz they wanted to be famous, but their popularity grew when most of the like minded people accepted them.

One thing to remember, In Islam it is very clear that "show off is not accepted by the Lord Almighty" Any good deed which is done for show off is of total waste in front of Lord and not a single reward will be benefited to such.

These personalities never entered this field for either fame or money leaving behind their lucrative profession but only with one mission which is to make the world know and understand what Qur'an and Hadith is, whose message is not just to Muslims but of to entire mankind.

Dear brother Sam,

You said that Ahmed Deedat had criticized Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him) and hence he was paralyzed.

No true Muslims on earth can talk bad of either Jesus or his mother Mary as Holy Quran honors them and Muslims belive that Jesus is one of the mightiest Messenger of God. This is to inform you, Jesus son of Mary has been named not once but 25 times in the Holy Quran compared to Prophet Mohammed (pbuh)
name is just 4 times. Further more an entire chapter by title "MARYAM" is revealed on in Holy Quran.

Now let me come to answer your earlier allegation on Ahmed Deedat.
Ahmed Deedat died at the age of 87 in 2005. On 3 May 1996 when he was 78 years old, he suffered a stroke which left him paralysed from the neck down because of a cerebral vascular accident affecting the brain stem, leaving him unable to speak or swallow.
Can you read again, that he suffered at stroke at the age of 78. Now tell me is this not an old age where any disease can effect any human being? Has our grand parents not fallen ill and died of various disease?
Can we say their illness or any paralyzed persons illness as the past committed sin? If we call so then its a great insult to any ill person.
Moreover, even though he was paralyzed, he still continued to work with his mission, although he was not active but bed ridden.
The claim is utterly absurd and fanciful which has no evidence at all.

Regarding your claim of that he insulted Jesus (pbuh), kindly watch the video in youtube where a Muslim man raises a question to Ahmed Deedat and the reply from Ahmed Deedat.
You can search in google as "Ahmed Deedat Answer - Why do you disrespect Prophet Jesus?" and you will find the answer to your question.

B'coz of these self proclaimed saviours of hinduism, Dr Naik is getting undue popularity..., which in my view is absolutely not warranted...,

Looking at the developments, it is prudent on part of the organizers & Dr Zakir Naik in particular voluntarily restrain and amend the program when negative perception is built to create agitation/un-rest to damage the peace of m'lore. Though law of the land permits Dr Naik to come & deliver/share his thoughts for the benefit of people who wish to listen him, under present circumstances it is prudent to take a second call.

It is well known that, Dr Naik's views always biased to favor his faith, and more than often he defends by selectively quoting religious texts of other faiths (out of context), which has more than often potentially causing pain to the believers & followers of other religion.

Yes hemant precisely.., But I am not in favor of these self proclaimed saviours of hinduism.., Their(BD's) response by these kind of pressure tactics on to the govt of the day & the peace loving general public, indirectly expose/admit/imply vulnerability of hinduism (which in my view don't serve any good to secular mindset Hinduism), Hinduism is a sanatan dharma and it is still standing high & mighty across the universe ignoring all kind of oppression/attacks/insults since ancient days of human civilisation.

Without any prejudice, in my view secular mindset Hindus must re-think about these self proclaiming guardians of Hinduism and it would be much better if m'loreans ignore Dr Naik.

Why should he not pay a visit to Managalore when he is citizen of India? He has the right to visit any city of India as he is not any criminal, or a hate monger or political goon.

Moreover he is student of comparative Religion, the who talks on various Religious scripture and answers the open questions posed to him.
