Puttur, Dec 18: Mangaluru assistant commissioner has recommended to the district deputy commissioner, to take disciplinary action against four government servants. Allegedly, these four had connived in creating fake records to help illegal stone quarrying.

The employees named in the recommendation are deputy tahsildar of Gurpur revenue division, Prema, revenue inspector, Dileep Rodkar, village accountant, Yamunappa Siddappa Kori, and Karunar, village accountant attached to 'Bhoomi' centre at Mangaluru.

The four have been accused of creating forged will and forged death certificate and changing the Khata of owners on the basis of these fake documents. They face the charge of dereliction of duty.

Chandras Ameen was found to be conducting illegal stone quarrying in survey No. 218-3 of Kolambe village in Mangaluru taluk in the name of his assistant, Hemant Shetty. In fact, this land belonged to Thimmaiah Bhandary. The foursome had created a will, which appeared like having been created in 1975 in favour of Hemant Shetty. Thimmaiah Bhandary had died in 1972. The employees had created a fake death certificate claiming that Thimmaiah died in 1989.

Dinakar Rai, who is the heir to this property, had filed a complaint about these irregularities.
