Edwin JF DSouza is New  Executive Director SAC Institute of Konkani

Mangalore, Aug 25: The well-known Konkani Novelist, Columnist and short-story writer, Rtn.Edwin JF DSouza is appointed the Executive Director of the St.Aloysius College Institute of Konkani. A Press release dated 25 August 2007 to this effect from Fr.Swebert DSilva SJ, Principal, St.Aloysius College Mangalore confirms this appointment with immediate effect.
 
Edwin JF DSouza, who is closely associated with the Institute of Konkani right from the days the Konkani Course was started during the tenure of (late)Fr.Nelapathy SJ as the Principal, along with (late) Prof.Bennett Pinto and Prof.John E. DSilva and then later when the PGDC was presented as a  distant education course, is also associated with St.Aloysius PU College as a lecturer in Basic Theology and Value Education and has 31 published Konkani novels/serials to his credit and nine literary awards.

    I am very happy that a right man has been appointed for the right job. A person who is dedicated to the progress of Konkani language is bound to ensure that he will bring laurels to Konakani in future and also see that more and more children learn Konkani and make our Mother tongue proud.
