Mangaluru, Dec 21: Second Jerry nite which was held at Don Bosco hall on Sunday, December 20, was a huge hit with the crowd.

The nite was presented by 'Jerry & Jerry Mangalur' comprising two Jerrys, one being the organiser Jerry Towers and another, the composer and singer Jerry D'Souza, Bajjodi.

The nite started with the introduction by Jerry Towers. “It came to my mind one day that I should help the organisations whom I know very well for years, who are looking after the well being of poor, sick and downtrodden. I did not stop since then. One day I met Jerry D'Souza and gave him the idea. He agreed immediately. And now we are here with this nite. All the money so far collected and yet to be collected will be handed over to many charities that are into real social service. The proceeds of this nite will help the orphans, HIV patients and poor students. I thank all the donors who helped us to hold this nite."

The first instalments of proceeds were given to the charities by cheques during the programme.

The first song of the nite was a prayer song led by Jerry D'Souza.

Then Jerry D’Souza sang an emotional song dedicated by a son to a mother named ' Avoipona'.

Jerry D’Souza, Anitha D’Souza, Ivy D'Souza, Rony Crasta, Vijay Vas, Clerita Lobo, Blandon Braganza, Gladys, Jeslita D'Souza, Jasmine D'Souza, , Elton Pinto, Ivy D'Souza, , Viran Thokkur and Joyston D'Souza presented 18 songs in the nite.
