Mangalore: Hazaribagh Bishop Charles Soreng Visits Shri Kshetra Kudroli

Mangalore, Aug 27: Bishop Charles Soreng of  Hazaribagh diocese of Jharkhand and the former chairman of the CBCI (Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India) - Education Committee was in Mangalore last week in connection with the All India Bishops’ Seminar on Media.

On Saturday August 25 Bishop Charles paid a cordial visit to Shri Gokarnanatheshwara Kshetra, Kudroli. He was received at the Kshetra by MP and former union minister B Janardhan Poojary, Kudroli Kshetra president H S Sairam, Harikrishna Bantwal and others. Poojary briefed the Bishop regarding socio-religious activities of the Kshetra.

Bishop Charles, who is the head of Catholic Community in Hazaribagh and an enthusiastic practitioner of Inter-religious dialogue and harmony, expressed his appreciation about the activities of the Kshetra and the temple complex. He also expressed his desire o visit the Kshetra in future during Mangalore Dasara.

Bishop’s hosts H R Alva, proprietor of Maria Advertisers, Mangalore and his family accompanied the Bishop to the Kshetra.
