Anti-party activities - Congress suspends two office-bearers

Udupi, Dec 23: The rumblings relating to legislative council election this time has robbed two more Congress activists of their posts in the party. General secretary of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency youth Congress unit, Pruthviraj Shetty, has been suspended for anti-party activities. For the same reason, Vikas Shetty, president of the local assembly constituency unit of youth Congress stands suspended from the party.

Vice president of the above Lok Sabha constituency unit of the party, Sunil D Bangera, said that the suspension orders, which were issued by Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee president, Rizwan Arshad, have come into force with immediate effect.

Already Prashant Amin, municipal councillor here, has been suspended from the party for campaigning for independent candidate, Jayaprakash Hegde.

Several other Congress activists too have been actively canvassing for the victory of Jayaprakash Hegde. Therefore, what steps the party will take against them has generated lot of curiosity.
