Ashutosh Gowariker would love to explore 'Star Wars' genre


Mumbai, Dec 25 (IANS): Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker says that he loves science fiction and would like to "attempt a genre" like the popular "Star Wars" franchise.

"Absolutely yes, I would love to. Space interests me a lot. I love science fiction as a genre very much. Some time in the future I would do something on those lines,” Gowariker told reporters.

He was present at the screening of the “Star Wars: the Force Awakens”.

About the successful sci-fi film series, he said: "I'm a crazy fan of 'Star Wars' and just entering that world again. It's an amazing world. I just love those entire scenes,” he said.

Gowariker has previously made films like “Lagaan”, “Jodhaa Akbar”, “Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey” and even his next film “Mohenjo Daro” are all based on real or fictional historical events.
