Kasargod: Businessman abducted 3 weeks ago under house arrest, says family

Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod (SP)

Kasargod, Dec 25: The family of a businessman from the town, who went missing suddenly about 20 days back, has got information that he has been kept in house arrest at a secret spot by unknown miscreants.

Kalandar Muhammed living at Sadiq Manzil near Uliyathadka petrol bunk at Madhur here has not been seen after December 4 this year. Muhammed owns a shop dealing in cellphones near the old bus stand in the town. Kalandar's brother, Moidin, has complained that some people had abducted Muhammed because of business-related issues, and kept him in an unknown spot where he is being harassed and tortured.

On the basis of a complaint filed by the wife of Kalandar Muhammed about his disappearance, the town police here have registered a complaint. In her complaint, Kalandar's wife had said that Muhammed, who had left home to run his mobile shop on December 4, had not returned home.

But the policemen are putting forth the theory that Muhammed had run away on his own on account of financial crisis. But the family claims that it has information about the abduction of Muhammed by a gang in relation to some financial dispute.

Rita, you sitting in Germany seem to solve many of the cases in and around Mangalore. I think you are the perfect CID material who should be here helping police to deal with miscreants as well. Your knowledge on all topics reported in DW is impeccable and seem to be a master on these. I would urge you to come over to Mangalore as soon as possible.
