Special children of Sulabha Special School celebrate Christmas at McDonalds

Mumbai, Dec 26: Ln Mala Shetty of Lions Club of Sunshine Platinum and Lioness club of Vasant Vihar, celebrated a day out with special children of Sulabha Special School at one of the world’s biggest outlets - Mc Donalds, Chembur (W) on December 23. Mala has been celebrating Christmas with these special children since 2006.










Special children from Sulabha Special School, Chembur who wait for this occasion had a gala time at Mc Donalds with their staff as Mc Donalds gives them gifts with food as part of Christmas day celebrations. The manager of the Mc Donalds outlet personally came and played music ane the staff also danced with the children. He said he would like to have a feedback as it is a happy occasion for this rare event with the special children.

District governor, Ln Nitin Shetty stated that Ln Mala Shetty who has been celebrating the day with special children for many years feels that the children look for such parties and get to go out and enjoy. McDonald’s, as part of Christmas celebrations also gave them a small toy each along with delicacies served. "He has been attending this event since 3 years," said the presidents Ls Pramila Bharani and Ln Kavvita Shharma. "We members too look forward to this special event.

TV and film producer and director Swapna Waghmare Joshi, who also directed Himesh Reshamiyya’s film ’Damaadum’ TV serial Rang Badalti Odhani on Star One, Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki on Colors channel etc who has also made some Marathi serials on Star Pravah etc graced the event with her daughter Sanhita Joshi. She also gives/sponsors gifts to these children every year, as she waits every year to meet them and dance with them. She also buys the products made by these special children, as she feels they can be used as well as given as gifts to friends as people should know that these children have their own talent and quality to make such products.

Swapna Joshi's recently released Marathi Film Mitwaa – starring actors Swapnil Joshi, Sonalee Kulkarni and Prarthana Behere was a hit movie all over Maharashtra. Now she will direct, producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali's untitled Marathi movie and Swapnil Joshi will work in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Marathi film.

On December 23 one more person who joined this special event was writer Harsha Jagdish writer of Sanskar Dharohar Apno Ki and screenplay writer of Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki Fame and many more shows like
screenplays and dialogues of serial ‘Kumkum’ for Star Plus etc.

"She too was excited about the event, and said she was happy to interact with the special children and members of clubs," says Ln Atreyee Mandal and others. Harsha will come next year too for such an event.
