Mangaluru: Ministers struggle to find their polling booths

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Dec 28: In an interesting development, two ministers from Dakshina Kannada district, who were expected to lead from the front in the council election because of their experience and exposure, were found to be struggling to find the polling booths where they were supposed to vote.

Minister for forests, environment, and ecology, B Ramanath Rai, spent time in finding out his polling booth. He had sent a letter sufficiently in advance to the office of the deputy commissioner seeking provision to vote at Bantwal taluk panchayat office. But when he came there, he was told by the officials that he had to cast his vote at Kallige gram panchayat office. But by the time he reached Kallige, Bantwal taluk panchayat officials received communication from the office of the deputy commissioner to allow Rai to vote at Bantwal taluk office. Rai had to come back from Kallige and exercise his franchise at Bantwal taluk panchayat office.

Similarly, U T Khader reached the taluk panchayat office in the city on Sunday morning for polling. He was told by officials that he needed to go to Ullal to cast his vote. Khader then went to Ullal and voted at the polling booth located at the municipal office there.

Mr. Ummar, you are right Mr. UT Khadar is well educated, he did his education at St. Aloysious college- Mangaluru completing BA degree, he later did his LLB and recently wrote an exam for MA from Bengaluru University. He has become minister for the first time and gaining experience.

Mr. Ramanath Rai is BA graduate, but we don't find him that active in his work as he is pretty much laid back, takes it easy and for granted. Not a hard worker, sleeps during assembly session.

Now regarding PM Mr. Modi is concerned, he has come the hard way, he has struggled throughout his life, selling Tea on Railway station plat forms & streets, to do his living and for his education, he graduated with a MA degree in Political Science from Gujarat university, this is not fake, we have checked in every library & govt foreign correspondence section, which gives a correct and accurate education level of various political leaders around the globe, but how ever we could not find any highest educational level qualification of Mrs. Sonia & Mr. Rahul Gandhi, so its ?

Regarding missing names of ministers is concerned, the election commissioner has to set up a computerized Data Base so that they can guide all the voters which polling booth they belong, Ministers should make aware of their polling booth well in advance than going to wrong booths to cast their valuable votes, follow the Australian voting system, you can't go wrong, no confusion, pretty straight forward.

Hope our Indian Election Commissioner looks into these matters. So there is no confusion & no one misses his or her vote.
