Kasargod: Tragic accident- Lorry driven by father kills son

Kasargod, Dec 29: In a tragic accident a son lost his life under a lorry driven by his own father. The incident happened at Mulleria near here on Monday, December 28.

Mohammed Rizwan (21), son of Abdulla from Karabar in Belthangady is the person deceased.

As per details of the incident, father Abdulla and son Mohammed Rizwan were going to Kozhikode from Belthangady in a wood laden lorry. When the lorry reached Kadakavannat near Mulleria, a noise under the lorry disturbed them. Abdulla, who was driving, stopped the lorry and asked his son to go beneath the lorry and to see what was wrong.

While Rizwan was beneath the lorry to find out the mistake, the lorry moved forward by accident. Rizwan was trapped under the tyre during the brief movement of the lorry and was killed instantly.

Police have registered a case.

    A very sad and unfortunate incident. Father lost his own son at such a young age through some tragic and unexpected way which is hard to believe. May the soul of Mohammed Rizwan rest in eternal peace and give peace and comfort to his father Abdulla and his near and dear ones.

    Very Sad and tragic death of a son by his own father. It will be a great loss to the parents as well as to the entire family. I have heard similar and so many cases, where the sons succumb to this type of unintentional deaths. After all, we can call it as destiny.
