Mangaluru: 'Expert Day' celebrated, students advised to exhibit talents, work hard

Mangaluru, Dec 29: 'Expert Day', the annual celebration of Expert Pre-University College was held at Town Hall here on Tuesday December 29.

Professor of internal medicine at Manipal University, Dr M Venkataraya Prabhu inaugurated the programme.

In his inaugural address, he called upon the students to achieve greater heights in life using their talents. "All of you should back your strengths. Do not hesitate to exhibit your talents. There is no limit to what one can achieve. One day one of you might become the prime minister of our country. Strive hard to make your dreams come true," he told the students.

Chairman of the Expert Institutions Prof Narendra Nayak said, "The success of institutions lies in the success of the students. From many years, students of Expert Institutions have achieved much success and kept us alive and active. Seeing is believing. Students should work hard to achieve their goals. I wish good luck to the students in the upcoming exams."

Founder of Daijiworld Walter Nandalike who was the guest of honour said, "This is an event of quality. Right from its inception, Expert has been known for producing smart and bright students. Along with curriculum, Expert is known for the values that are being taught here."

Correspondent of the institution Usha Prabha Nayak also spoke on the occasion.

Deepthi Joshi welcomed the gathering while Varshini Ballal rendered the vote of thanks. Srishti and Prerana compered the programme.

Prof Ramachandra Bhat, Karunakar Balkur, academic advisor Prof Pradeep Kumar, trustee of the college Ustad Rafiq Khan, Yogacharya Golapkrishna Derlampady were among those present.

A sparkling cultural programme followed the formal ceremony.
