Bhatkal, Jan 1: In an accident, bullet and splendour bikes collided head on at national highway Vengrapur Bridge, around 12.30 am on Friday, January 1.
Bullet rider Nufail Hallare (25) was seriously injured and splendour rider, along with pillion rider also sustained injuries in the accident.
The seriously injured Nufail has been admitted at a hospital in Udupi. He is in a critical condition. Mohammed Salah Salamati (21) has been admitted in Bhatkal government hospital.
Yogesh Naik who was pillion rider also sustained injuries in the accident.
It is learnt that Nufail Hallare is a top class cricketer and presently captain of Sultan Youth welfare association.
A case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station.
