Kundapur, Jan 2: In a tragic incident which occurred at Haravari of Vandse village in the taluk on Thursday December 31 evening, a youth accidentally drowned in the rivulet.

The deceased has been identified as Raghavendra (23), nephew of Gundu Poojary, a local. He had left home at around 5 pm and had not come back home even at night.

As he remained elusive even on Friday, the family members began a search. At 6 am, his motor bike, clothes and footwear were found on the banks of Sauparnika River at Huntanagoli, a little distance away from his residence. After a thorough search, Raghavendra's body was found a little distance away from the spot.
