35-year-old soldier from Moodbidri passes away in Rajasthan

Mangaluru, Jan 4: Girish Eshwar Poojary (35), a soldier of the Indian Army from Moodbidri, is learnt to have suddenly died at his place of posting in Rajasthan on Saturday January 2.

Girish was a native of Badaga Mijar Urki Nandadi near Moodbidri town. He was the son of the late Eshwar Poojary and was serving Indian Army since the last 17 years. He had visited his native place three weeks back, and had left for his place of posting in Rajasthan along with wife, Roopa, and four-year-old son, Gagan.

The deceased soldier had completed his primary education at the Mulibettu school in Todar, high school at the government school, Konnepadavu, and PU education at Secunderabad.

It is gathered that his mortal remains are being flown via New Delhi and Bengaluru to Mangaluru, from where the body would be brought to his native place with full military honours on Monday January 4.
