UAE, Jan 6: Emirates India Fraternity Forum (EIFF), UAE, Karnataka chapter organized an annual sports meet at Al Ain Sports Ground on Friday January 1.

Javed Surathkal inaugurated the event. In his speech he said, “Sports offers a cost-effective tool to meet many developments and brings about peace and harmony. It is a good platform to exhibit one's talent and it helps towards social coexistence and togetherness.

Four teams in different colored uniforms participated in the spectacular event which also featured many activities and games such as 100 meters, 200 meters, 4X100 relay, kabbadi, volleyball, football and tug of war. 

The glitzy Bur-Dubai team emerged as the overall champions in the tournament for the third time in a row.
Also separate competitions were organized exclusively for ladies and children.

The closing ceremony in the evening was graced by the presence of businessman Nasir K K, Rashid Bejai, executive member of EIFF Dubai sector. Sarafraz Kapu and Firoz Karnad were the guests of honor. The sports winners were awarded individually and with a team wise trophy.

The athletes participated with discipline and enthusiasm for the success of the tournament. Finally, the events concluded with the vote of thanks by Irfan Yermal.
