Udupi: One-year-old baby falls into bucket of water, dies

Udupi, Jan 8: In a tragic incident, a baby died after falling into a bucket of water here on Friday January 8.

Prajwal, aged one year and three months, son of Bhanuprakash Aital, residing behing MGM College, died in a hospital.

It is learnt that the incident took place when the baby's mother, after washing clothes, had gone to hang them out to dry. The baby who was playing nearby fell into the bucket of water.

Prajwal was rushed to a private hospital, where he breathed his last.

The couple has another child, a five-year-old daughter.

Manipal police have registered a case.

    Similar incident has happened last year in Udupi dist.While no parents will want their chidren to die,a little precautionary measures will prevent such unfortunate incidents from happening.
