Mangaluru: Theft of cows- Protest in front of Konaje police station

Daijiworld Media Network-Mangaluru (RJP)

Mangaluru, Jan 10: Residents of Nadupadavu protested on Saturday in front of Konaje police station demanding to stop the cow thefts in the area and to arrest the thieves who stole two cows on Friday night.

The thieves had stolen two cows from the house of Purushothama from Nadupadavu. A case has also been registered at Konaje police station regarding the incident.

As per details of the incident, Purushotham has been into dairy business for years. Two of his pregnant cows were accommodated outside the house on Friday night. Purushotham was woken up when he heard the sound of vehicle outside his house. When he came out, he saw his cows forcibly loaded into a Sumo vehicle. He tried his best to stop them from taking his cows. But the thieves who wore the mask threatened him not to come closer to the vehicle by exhibiting knives. Purushotham could not do anything when the thieves took the cows in the vehicle and fled. He immediately informed the Konaje police station. But the police failed to find the vehicle.

On Saturday, the residents in big numbers came to the Konaje police station and protested. They said if the police do not arrest the thieves in the next 48 hours, they will call for district-wide protest. Vishwas Hindu district president Jagadish Shenava, Konaje Bajrang Dal convenor Praveen Kuthar were also present among protestors.

Follow the example of UAE which allows for pork and alcohol consumption only for non-muslims here too. Just allow legal slaughter houses so that people only buy everything legally. Then see how this illegal business stops!.

    Hello John Sir

    You must know the difference

For Muslims Pork is a taboo and unclean hence it is not allowed. They don't have any sentiments for pig.

For Hindus Cow is a holy symbol as cross for christians, so even tolerant hindu also has some concern for cows. Most of those who demand open cow slaughter has only one intention that is to hurt the sentiments.

Only three issues are boiling in our region again and again that is Firstly Cattle theft, secondly conversion in the name of Love Marriage and thirdly conversion in the name of aid or helping financially by targeting poor & illiterate people!!!! In all three cases targeted community is Hindus!!!! Which is very unfortunate and when we retaliate with harsh protection so called intellectual people call this protest as “Intolerance”

These thieves are becoming head ache to the society and makes to feel frustrated and hatred among communities and religion. It is time to catch the offenders and book under Goonda act. The negative impression out of this cow theft is so much that the consumers should boycott for the betterment of interfaith relation. Less than 1% of these cow thieves and activists who shout about fundamental rights or wrongs disturbing 99% of us.

For cattle theives the police must catch them and it can be controlled. The cattle theives are very limited in numbers and it is a commercial crime. But there are potential rapist in every human being and only sick minded go and rape. So mind control for sanity is required for good people at large to reduce the rapist and eventually erradicate the rapist sickness inside human mind. Mixing 2 things and coming out with a comments for sake of talking is also a hidden diseas and is very dangerous to the society . Please help the victim who lost the cow at least voicing your sympathy on this podium than venting your venom and have control on your bias nature.
